How to Support a RISE Student

Breadcrumb

The College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS) at the University of California, Riverside invites you to join a select group of donors and corporate partners who share a commitment to the advancement of scientific research, teaching, and discovery. The CNAS Summer RISE Program provides opportunities for undergraduate students to participate in a 10-week summer research internship on campus.

The Rewards of Being a Donor

Creating a Pipeline of Trained Scientists

Since 2010, the CNAS Summer Research in Science and Engineering (RISE) program has provided students with foundational opportunities in campus labs,  teaching them critical skills necessary for internships and jobs in both public and private sectors.

Donors and corporate partners have the opportunity to support the full-time activity of students to ensure they are primed for careers in all scientific fields.

In addition to lab training with principal investigators and graduate students, the program exposes students to interview, presentation, resume-writing, and networking workshops during the 10-week immersion.
